How can I tell that pipe cleaning is necessary?

The need for pipe cleaning arises when you notice that water is not draining in the kitchen sink, bathroom drain, or other wet areas.
Also, it's important to pay attention to unpleasant odors. If an unpleasant smell is coming from the sink, it's time to clean the pipes.
Observe the condition of the building's manhole. If water is pooling, an unpleasant odor is coming from the manhole, or in the worst case, flooding of the lower floors is observed, it's time to clean the manhole.

Is it recommended to use pipe cleaning liquids (so-called 'Krot')?

Often, when we face internal blockages, we resort to pipe cleaning liquids and powders. The use of such liquids is recommended mostly for pipes where water doesn't flow (such as the kitchen sink or bathroom drain).
The use of pipe cleaning liquids is most effective before internal blockages occur. These liquids cannot always clear blockages and may even cause worse problems by hardening debris trapped in the pipes.

The most effective and safe method for clearing internal blockages is using a drain snake.

Is regular cleaning (every 2-3 months) recommended?

For preventative purposes, regular cleaning of pipes with a drain snake is not recommended. While this process does not cause damage to the pipes, other methods can be used to prevent blockages.

Does water jetting or an electric drain snake damage pipes and plumbing?

Water jetting is a safe method for pipe cleaning. However, an electric drain snake is not used for cleaning internal plumbing, as it involves smaller pipes, and there is a risk of damaging the pipes.
A professional team will assess these factors and recommend the appropriate cleaning method based on that evaluation.

Why do internal plumbing systems often get clogged, and what can be done to prevent this?

How often internal plumbing systems get clogged depends on the pipe layout, their age, and usage.

When cleaning the internal plumbing, will it cause any problems for my neighbors (with their pipes or plumbing)?

Cleaning the internal plumbing will not cause any problems for your neighbors.
